Lynell Beckstrom lived a life of extraordinary generosity, service, and compassion. She devoted herself to creating a place where others could feel safe, supported, and loved. Following in the footsteps of her mother, Ranae Johnson, Lynell became an important part of the Rapid Eye Technology community and worked tirelessly to carry forward its mission of healing and hope. She spent many years lovingly caring for her mother, offering not only physical care but also companionship, devotion, and unwavering support. Through that service, she preserved and strengthened a legacy that had touched countless lives.

Lynell believed that healing extends beyond a single session or conversation. She worked diligently to make the five-acre campus a place of refuge, peace, and welcome for all who came there. Many found comfort in her presence and kindness. She had a gift for making people feel seen, cared for, and valued. Her generosity was not reserved for special occasions; it was woven into the way she lived every day.

Her sudden passing on July 19 left family and friends in profound shock. In a final reflection of who she was, Lynell passed away while serving others, conducting a Rapid Eye Technology session for family members. Even in her last moments, she was doing what she had always done: helping, supporting, and caring for those around her.

Although her loss came far too soon and so shortly after the passing of her beloved mother, Lynell’s life remains a powerful example of selfless love. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, service, and generosity that will continue to bless all who knew her. Her family, friends, and community will remember her as a woman who opened her heart, her home, and her life to others, creating refuge wherever she went.

Lynell’s greatest gift was not what she built, but how she made people feel: welcomed, cared for, and loved. Her influence will live on in the many lives she touched and in the enduring spirit of kindness she embodied every day.

Ranae Johnson was a visionary researcher, educator, author, and founder of Rapid Eye Technology. Her life’s work began as a mother’s quest to help her autistic son, a journey that inspired decades of study, innovation, and compassionate service to others. Through her research and determination, she developed Rapid Eye Technology and dedicated herself to helping people heal from stress, trauma, and life’s challenges.

While Ranae’s professional accomplishments touched countless lives, her greatest legacy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who taught by example the values of compassion, perseverance, and service. Those who knew her remember a woman who never stopped learning, creating, and seeking ways to help others find hope and healing.

In her later years, Ranae was lovingly cared for by her daughter, Lynell Beckstrom, whose devoted service reflected the same compassion and commitment that Ranae had spent a lifetime giving to others. Lynell not only cared for her mother but also helped carry forward the work and vision of Rapid Eye Technology. In a profound and bittersweet turn for the family, Lynell passed away on July 19, shortly after her mother’s passing. Their lives were deeply intertwined through love, service, and a shared commitment to helping others, and their legacies will forever remain connected.

Ranae’s influence continues through the family she loved, the students she trained, the friends she inspired, and the many individuals whose lives were changed through her kindness, wisdom, and pioneering work.
