RET technicians Coach, Teach, Educate, Guide, Instruct, and Train.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The following example language changes (term reframes) for RET Technicians and their clients is intended to support clients and avoid legal problems for unlicensed RET Technicians.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rather than having\u00a0<em>disorders<\/em>, a RET technician\u2019s clients have\u00a0<strong>challenges, problems<\/strong>, or\u00a0<strong>issues<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Rather than having\u00a0<em>Post Traumatic Stress Disorder<\/em>, a RET technician\u2019s client\u00a0<strong>seeks to feel at peace within<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Rather than having\u00a0<em>addictions <\/em>or being chemically dependent, a RET technician\u2019s clients\u00a0<strong>seek to regain self-control<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Rather than having\u00a0<em>Eating Disorders<\/em>, a RET technician\u2019s clients\u00a0<strong>seek weight management <\/strong>or\u00a0<strong>to improve appearance<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Rather than being\u00a0<em>depressed <\/em>or\u00a0<em>anxious<\/em>, a RET technician\u2019s clients\u00a0<strong>seek to regain a positive mental attitude<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong>to manage situational stress<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Rather than having\u00a0<em>insomnia\u00a0<\/em>or\u00a0<em>sleep disorders<\/em>, a RET technician\u2019s clients\u00a0<strong>seek sleep improvement<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Rather than having\u00a0<em>phobias<\/em>, a RET technician\u2019s clients have\u00a0<strong>apprehensions <\/strong>or\u00a0<strong>fears\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>seek self-confidence<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Rather than seeking to\u00a0<em>change their mood<\/em>, a RET technician\u2019s clients\u00a0<strong>seek to become more optimistic<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Rather than\u00a0<em>treating a disorder or problem<\/em>, a RET technician\u00a0<strong>holds sessions <\/strong>in which they\u00a0<strong>help clients discharge hurtful emotional energy<\/strong>\u00a0so they can\u00a0<strong>more easily accept positive change into their lives<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Rather than\u00a0<em>curing a condition<\/em>, a RET technician helps clients\u00a0<strong>regain their spiritual light <\/strong>or\u00a0<strong>regain their self-control<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Rather than\u00a0<em>diagnosing a condition<\/em>, a RET technician\u00a0<strong>evaluates and assesses their ret process <\/strong>to maximize its effectiveness for their clients.<\/li>\n<li>Rather than\u00a0<em>counseling <\/em>or\u00a0<em>giving advice<\/em>, a RET technician\u00a0<strong>coaches, teaches, guides, instructs, and trains<\/strong>\u00a0clients so that they may view and place many aspects of their lives in a more useful perspective.<\/li>\n<li>Rather than\u00a0<em>prescribe\u00a0<\/em>or\u00a0<em>advise<\/em>, a RET technician helps clients\u00a0<strong>release hurtful emotional energy <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>educates clients<\/strong>\u00a0to help them\u00a0<strong>become more successful and enhance personal skills and assets<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Rather than\u00a0<em>therapy<\/em>, a RET technician offers clients\u00a0<strong>a set of techniques and processes <\/strong>together with\u00a0<strong>education<\/strong>, to\u00a0<strong>assist clients in achieving their goals and living in peace<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>A RET technician helps clients\u00a0<strong>promote wellness\u00a0<\/strong>in their lives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(from the discontinued RET Forum) Unless licensed to do so, RET Technicians do not independently work with medical or mental disease and do not \u201cdiagnose,\u201d \u201ctreat,\u201d or \u201cprescribe.\u201d RET Technicians may work with issues related to a medical or mental health disorder on referral from a properly licensed health care professional.
