What is Rapid Eye Technology?

R.E.T is one of the fastest and complete modalities that we have today. It is a form of energy work that improves core belief systems in the body on the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual level. The human mind processes, when it goes into REM sleep, dreaming at night. This process helps to work out our emotional bodies. However, sometimes things can get stuck when we have been traumatized, shocked or hurt. RET works with the eyes in a waking state, to simulate REM sleep. Using eye movement we can pull up the old core beliefs and trauma by blinking and breathing. We can replace the trauma with healing light. Working at a cellular level reverses the DNA that may have been passed down through generations.

How?

In a RET session we can go to the first original time when DNA was created. One can go through different birthing sessions, up to childhood and to the current time. This process is likened to peeling layers like an onion one step at a time when healing. Letting go of pain or old patterns and creating new pathways in thought is like breaking out of prison; invisible walls that bind you, the “Master Shift.”

In 1993, I discovered the benefits of Rapid Eye Technology (RET). I was walking around in a world of depression, grief and emotional turmoil. My world was gray. I figured out how to survive carrying all those “cooties”, but I wasn’t happy. Since I had been through a few years of therapy up until then, I figured this was as good as life was going to be.

My brother, Rick, had died the year before. He had been my trusted best friend, for all of my 36 yrs. The loss sent me into a healing crisis of epic proportions. His death triggered the cellular and subconscious memories of even more abuse issues that were buried within. As they surfaced, I was overwhelmed and paralyzed; feeling useless, and beginning to think that a bullet to the brain would be a good thing.

Then I reconnected with a friend and energy therapist who had just returned from RET training. She said “try this technique, it will help.” I didn’t believe her but I was curious and desperate enough to try anything.

I didn’t understand what happened in that first session, but I do know I felt better…lighter, as if something heavy got lifted off of me. So I continued my sessions and was amazed at the mountain of negativity that got removed from my body, heart, and mind. My physical health improved as well. RET neutralized the pain of my past.

My world had color for the first time. I saw the blue of the skies and green of the trees ! I had more room in my head for thinking! Previously, my mind had been a traffic jam of negative self talk and debilitating, subconscious belief systems.

I guess I should write about my experience with RET so you will know where I come from.

I was on Zoloft and very popular anti-depressant. I was also seeing a great counselor. I had experienced an extreme trauma of loss and sadness that I was rehashing and recreating with little or no progress. I was about to double my Zoloft when a friend suggested I see a gal who was a Rapid Eye Technician. Well, I thought, “great, a new thought hocus-pocus”, but at that point what did I have to lose? So I made the call, made the appointment and showed up! Less than 4 or 5 sessions later I was off of the anti depressant, I had cut my therapy sessions from twice a week to once a week, (yes, I was really sad!) and then down to every other, and then to “I’ll call if I need you”.

I was so impressed with my progress and through the encouragement of my RET tech that I desided to go to the schololing at the Rapid Eye Institute to become a technician myself. I have now gone to the institute schooling twice, just to make sure I “got it” and now I am working on my masters.

I have found a modality to exercise my desire to help others. It brings me joy to help and to see the release of sadness, anger, depression, fears, panic, ill health and the troubles that people have carried for so many years be released so they can carry on in this world and achieve some happiness.

I use to be a comedian. It was a great gift to make people laugh for a moment or an evening.

I am now a Rapid Eye Technician and guiding clients to a sustainable happiness is an even greater gift and it lasts longer than comedy!

Paula Bronte is a Master Rapid Eye Technician in private practice in the Salt Lake City area. She has worked in the field of energy healing since 1998. Paula also holds a certification in Thought Field Therapy. TFT is the original form of energy tapping—a technique which releases emotion by tapping acupressure points in specific sequences.

Reading The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran when she was fifteen years old launched Paula on a lifetime of spiritual and philosophical study and practice. She holds a B.A. in philosophy from Brooklyn College. As a devotee of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, Paula traveled to India twice and lived in ashrams for many years, practicing a sacred form of meditation called Sahaja Yoga.
